About Us

Performance Works Ltd is an organisation, people and business improvement consultancy and training business that aims to help other organisations become more effective and efficient in the way they operate.   It was formed  by Marcus Fillier, after leaving the Police Service after 16 years service.

Marcus has worked alongside the private sector (Price Waterhouse Cooper and KPMG) and has a strong background in improving organisations and people using knowledge and skills gained through academic rigour and practical experience.

Marcus has a wealth of experience in project management, training design and delivery, process management, organisational change, risk management, priority based budgeting, coaching, people development and business improvement consultancy.

Credentials and experience

Throughout his in the Police Service he has been responsible for innovation and performance improvement, saving millions of pounds through systems and process development over the years.  Through working within Learning and Development Marcus has also gained an in depth understanding of the human element in any process or organisation.  Without the people being able, engaged and productive, few organisations reach their potential!

Marcus Fillier:

  • Has qualified as a  Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Time Line Therapy, Hypnosis and NLP Coaching.
  • Is a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner and has managed large scale projects affecting over 12,000 employees and the people they serve.
  • Holds an IS0 9001 quality auditor qualification and was responsible for quality assurance of over 1000 student police officer’s training.
  • Is qualified to teach through a Diploma in Teaching (lifelong learning) and has managed the roll out of many large scale training programs.  He has ensured that only appropriate and performance improving learning interventions take place.
  • Has been trained to Green Belt Six Sigma standard in performance and process improvement.  With this skill set Marcus has reduced waste and increased performance, saving hundreds of thousands of pounds for the Police Service.
  • Holds an A1 assessor qualification, giving him a sound understanding of assessing using a range of methods.
  • Is Belbin Accredited to deliver feedback and coaching through the use of Belbin Team Roles, this builds high performing teams and individuals.
  • Is intelligence operative trained, this has given him valuable insight into how information differs from intelligence and how the two can be used to build strategic goals.  This has also given Marcus a wealth of experience in risk management and tactical options to deal with threats and exploit opportunities.
  • Has managed large teams of individuals that are customer service orientated, developing strong work ethics within the team cultures.
